David Beckham and his eldest son Brooklyn appeared at the same luxury hotel in Los Angeles on Monday, March 16, yet the pair did not cross paths. The incident underscores the ongoing strain in their relationship.

Recent Close Encounter

David Beckham, 50, arrived in Hollywood and checked into the Beverly Hills Hotel. Brooklyn soon followed, heading to the pool area. By then, David had already left for a filming location in Santa Monica to shoot an advertisement for Lays crisps, a FIFA World Cup sponsor.

The evening before, David attended Elton John’s AIDS Foundation Oscars viewing party. Questions arose about a possible meeting with Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, who live in the city. However, no such reunion occurred.

A source close to the family explained that David traveled to Los Angeles for the ad campaign after a skiing trip in Canada with son Romeo and friends. Despite Brooklyn living just miles away with Nicola, the rift prevented any interaction.

Background of the Family Tension

Tensions escalated after Brooklyn’s January social media statement. He criticized his parents’ alleged controlling behavior and their treatment of Nicola. Brooklyn highlighted his 2022 wedding, claiming his mother hijacked his first dance with his bride.

Brooklyn made clear he has no immediate plans to reconcile, leaving the family divide unresolved.

Cruz Beckham Enters the Fray

Brooklyn’s younger brother, Cruz, 21, a musician often seen with his parents, seems to side with them. His recent song, “Loneliest Boy,” includes lyrics that appear to reference the family drama.

In the chorus, Cruz sings: “So tell me you’re scared, and that you need someone to hold. ‘Cause you’re in the room but really, does it even show? But, why can’t they see that you’re a million miles away, They’ll never know, when you look so close.”

Later, he adds: “Loneliest boy, mama don’t talk too much, It’s breaking her heart. It shows in the small things that you don’t do, I guess in the end that it’s you, yourself, and you. Tell me how do you live, when you’ve got nobody to lose?”
