Seven people suffered injuries when a ceiling collapsed at the Poseidón Palace hotel in Benidorm on Easter Sunday. The incident struck during dinner, sending plasterboard chunks and air conditioning ducts crashing onto around 60 guests in the dining area.
Emergency Response and Injuries
Emergency teams quickly arrived at the three-star hotel in the popular Costa Blanca resort. Among the injured were an eight-year-old boy and a 78-year-old man, both treated at a hospital and later released. Five others, aged 33 to 80, required hospital admission, with one still under observation at Hospital de la Marina Baixa.
CICU coordinated the response, deploying SAMU medical units, basic life support teams, and non-assisted transport. Red Cross volunteers assisted in caring for the victims amid the chaos.
