Coleen Rooney has resumed wearing her wedding ring following reports of her husband Wayne partying late into the night with two unidentified women in Manchester.

Wayne Rooney’s Pre-Brit Awards Outing

Wayne Rooney, the 40-year-old former footballer, attended a pre-Brit Awards event at a luxury hotel in Manchester. He stayed out until the early hours, joined by male friends including singer Calum Scott. Witnesses observed him emerging from the restrooms while adjusting his trousers, then spending two hours drinking and chatting animatedly with the two women. He departed around 3:25 a.m. in a separate car from one of the women.

Onlookers noted concern, with one asking, ‘What would his wife Coleen think?’ Another described Wayne as ‘not seeming in a great place’ during the evening.

Coleen Rooney Spotted Running Errands

Coleen, 39, appeared without her wedding ring during a public outing on Monday. However, recent photos from Tuesday capture her running errands in Cheshire, clearly displaying the ring on her left hand as she held her phone and a shopping bag.

She opted for a low-key ensemble in all black topped with a brown coat, heading toward her parked Range Rover nearby.

Family Background and Past Challenges

Wayne and Coleen, married since 2008, share four sons: Kai, 16; Klay, 12; Kit, 10; and Cass, 8.

The couple has navigated previous high-profile incidents, including Wayne’s teenage encounters with prostitutes in 2004. At age 18, after joining Manchester United, he allegedly paid £140 to Charlotte Glover, 21, and visited a Liverpool brothel where he met Gina McCarrick, 37, and Patricia Tierney, 48. Coleen supported him through the ordeal without public comment at the time.

In her 2023 Amazon Prime documentary on Wayne’s career, Coleen reflected on their challenges. She credited her parents, Colette and Tony, for guidance, stating, ‘When you’re making those decisions you’ve got to focus on what you want and not other people… My mum and dad always give me a positive outlook on things. There’s nothing that we can’t deal with.’

She emphasized prioritizing their children and working through issues together: ‘Let’s sit down and see what we can do and can we make it work? And we have. We’re not the lovey-dovey type anyway, we like to have a laugh and we work well together.’
