Dyson has introduced a limited-edition colorway named Ceramic Apricot and Topaz for its haircare devices. This vibrant palette draws inspiration from the summer solstice, blending mandarin orange, apricot blush, gold accents, and pink highlights. The company describes it as capturing the essence of the longest day of the year through its astronomical, visual, and psychological impacts.

Design Details and Inspiration

The color scheme features apricot and bold orange on the main body of the tools, metallic pink on the filter casings, and gold touches on buttons and switches. Amelia Ayerst, manager on Dyson’s Colors, Materials, and Finish (CMF) team, explains: “Researching the solstice, we mapped shifts in daylight intensity, temperature, and the color spectrum. Using this data, we blended pigments that mimic higher wavelengths of visible light at sunrise, noon, and sunset: warm apricots, bold oranges, and playful pinks.”

Ayerst adds that the palette radiates “liberation, energy, and celebration—bringing the outdoors in and representing the high-energy vibrancy of the sun.” Dyson dubs this combination ‘The Colour of Summer 2026’.

Affected Haircare Products

The new colorway appears across key Dyson haircare lines, including the Airwrap multistyler, Airstrait wet-to-dry straightener, Supersonic Nural hair dryer, and Supersonic r hair dryer. The Corrale straightener does not appear in promotional images, suggesting it may be excluded.

Past limited-edition shades like Jasper Plum and Red Velvet, launched in January 2025, remain available, indicating this colorway could stay on shelves beyond its initial release.

Availability and Launch

In the UK, Ceramic Apricot and Topaz devices launch for purchase directly from Dyson and select retailers like Boots. International rollout, including the US and Australia, follows typical patterns, potentially aligning with southern hemisphere summer.
