Kanye West received one final opportunity from wife Bianca Censori after seeking treatment for erratic behavior at a wellness center in Spain. The rapper aims to rebuild his image following public outbursts, including praise for Adolf Hitler, antisemitic comments, and claims of controlling his wife’s wardrobe choices.

The Couples’ Rehab Retreat

Censori, 31, issued a marriage ultimatum amid West’s controversies, nearly leading to divorce last year. Sources close to the couple describe her decision to offer another chance as an act of bravery. Despite his self-destructive tendencies and bipolar disorder diagnosis in 2016, she pushed him toward professional help.

West joined Censori at the Balance Rehab Clinic in Majorca, a luxury facility providing medically supervised mental health and addiction care for high-achievers. Their stay allowed relaxation, open discussions on needs and vulnerabilities, and joint counseling sessions. West later continued treatment at a clinic in Switzerland, where friends note marked improvements in his appearance and demeanor.

Music executive George Daniels stated: “His new wife was ready to get the hell away from him… You can see it in his face, he’s cleaned up. Bianca is addicted to him, they push each other’s emotional buttons yet are consumed by a desire to be together.”

West’s Antisemitic Remarks and Fallout

Starting in 2022, West posted inflammatory content on social media, including “death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE” and expressions of support for Nazis and Hitler. These led to severed ties with Adidas, Balenciaga, and talent agency CAA.

Recent Apology and Reflections

In January, West, also known as Ye, published a remorseful ad in The Wall Street Journal titled “To Those I Hurt.” He attributed his actions to bipolar type-1 disorder, explaining: “Bipolar disorder comes with its own defense system. Denial. When you’re manic, you don’t think you’re sick.”

West admitted losing touch with reality, regretting his words and deeds, and clarified: “I am not a Nazi or antisemite… I love the Jewish people.” He also apologized to the Black community and credited Censori for urging him to seek help after hitting rock bottom.

Bianca Censori’s Perspective

In a recent Vanity Fair interview, Censori addressed West’s rants and episodes emotionally: “All I can do is always just be there and help. This year was a lot like doing CPR for months. I have the love and empathy for him to be able to do that, and I understand that the world doesn’t.”

Understanding Bipolar Disorder

Bipolar disorder triggers extreme mood and energy swings, from manic highs of elation to depressive lows. Rapid cycling, with four or more episodes yearly, affects 10-20% of cases. Affecting about 5.7 million U.S. adults, its causes remain unclear, though genetics may contribute, especially with family history.
