Lady Gaga, engaged since July 2024, hints at an upcoming wedding with fiancé Michael Polansky. The 39-year-old singer shared the exciting news during Bruno Mars’s Romantic Radio TikTok Live on Friday, stating they plan to marry soon despite extensive travels this year.
Special Song Dedication from Bruno Mars
In a recorded message, Gaga said, “Me and my fiancé have been traveling all year, but we’re getting married soon. We were hoping you could choose a special song for us.” Bruno Mars, who collaborated with her on the ballad “Die With A Smile,” selected “Risk It All” from his new album, The Romantic. He dedicated the track one song, replying, “If you’re looking for a song to dedicate to your husband, I would say, off this new album of mine, I would go with Risk It All. So, I want to dedicate this to Lady Gaga and her fiancé. Michael, this is for you two.”
Relationship Insights and Meeting Story
Gaga recently opened up about meeting Polansky amid personal struggles, including mental health challenges and heavy smoking. She explained that his care for the real her transformed her life. “Being in love with someone that cares about the real me made a very big difference,” she shared. “What he saw was, ‘this is somebody that feels very far away from what they’re supposed to be doing.’ He wanted to take care of me. And I’ve never been loved that way. My life was serious to him. It was not a party. He helped me see that my life was precious.”
Unlike past relationships, Polansky’s serious nature complemented her needs perfectly. Gaga noted he differed from those seeking fun, appreciating her authentic self. “None of my tricks were gonna work on him. We were gonna meet each other and probably have a very sincere adult conversation and see if we liked each other,” she added. “Michael’s sense of gravity might be the thing that I was attracted to about him the most. He immediately understood how serious things were for me.”
They Already Feel Married
Polansky echoed the sentiment, revealing they already feel married and prefer a simple celebration. “We have these breaks, and they’re tempting. It’s like, ‘OK, can we get married that weekend?’ We don’t want a really big wedding, but we want to enjoy it,” he stated. “In a lot of ways, we already feel married, so it’s not like it’s gonna change much.”
First linked romantically on New Year’s Eve 2019, the couple confirmed their relationship via Instagram in early 2020. A Harvard graduate from 2006, Polansky now leads Parker Group. As wedding preparations advance, Gaga pursues a legal agreement to protect her estimated $300 million fortune.
