Married At First Sight bride Alissa Fay accuses Gia Fleur of manipulative tactics in an ongoing power struggle with Bec Zacharia, claiming she served as an unwitting pawn in their ‘Top Dog’ rivalry.
Behind-the-Scenes Manipulation
Alissa, 33, describes a toxic dynamic where Gia allegedly played both sides to undermine Bec while protecting herself. ‘It was just Gia wanting to use someone to get through and hurt Bec as usual. It’s the middle man bulls**t that continues throughout this whole season,’ Alissa stated.
She claims the feud drew her in unexpectedly. ‘Yeah, she definitely wanted to get back at Bec. She wanted to be safe. I feel like it’s just this war that they ongoingly have with each other.’
Alissa warns that the contestants exploit others in their battle for dominance. ‘Those girls will use anyone to fight against each other… if it’s not me, it’s someone else.’ She insists the televised drama reveals only a portion of the reality. ‘It was way worse. The manipulation and the lengths that Gia would go to… to try and just bring up past hurts and things to make herself look better. It’s just ridiculous.’
Screenshot Scandal and Fallout
Alissa points to the screenshot incident as orchestrated. ‘She threw Juliette under the bus. She set that all up.’ The escalating conflict ensnared her and husband David Momoh. ‘It’s just relentless. It’s just one thing after the other.’
The strain affected her marriage deeply. ‘They were really hurtful… and you just can’t really come back from something like that.’
Despite efforts to reconcile, Alissa rebuilt ties with both women before feeling betrayed. ‘I was letting those girls back into my life… I was starting to build a friendship with Gia. I had forgiven Bec and I was moving forward there.’ The resurgence left her questioning her choices. ‘Then to be caught up in it again, I was just thinking, why am I so forgiving? Why am I so stupid? I look like an idiot.’
She and David faced repeated targeting despite attempts to disengage. ‘David and I were in the firing line continuously, even though we were just trying to shut it down and move forward in our relationship. It’s just drama after drama after drama.’
Unseen Footage Supports Claims
Alissa asserts much context remains unseen. ‘There are things missing, there are storylines missed… there’s so much drama and so much noise. There is so much context missing. There is so much cut out.’ She warns, ‘You haven’t seen sh*t… you have not seen how bad it really was.’
Unseen footage from Stan’s MAFS After the Dinner Party episode bolsters her account, featuring audio clips of Gia urging Juliette to share screenshots, warning Bec of impending drama, and advising caution as a ‘losing battle.’
Alissa dismisses Bec’s apologies amid repeated patterns. ‘No, there is a lot of repetitive behaviour from Bec… I don’t think you can come back from that.’
The ordeal has reshaped her views. ‘I didn’t know that I was gonna be back in high school… I signed up for a husband and I got a lot of drama in my way.’
As the season approaches its finale, the ‘Top Dog’ conflict persists. Married At First Sight airs Sundays at 7pm on Channel Nine.
