A pedestrian died following a collision with a vehicle on the Lincoln Alexander Parkway Thursday morning.

Incident Details

Hamilton Police responded to reports of a pedestrian struck in the westbound lanes near the Garth Street overpass around 6:52 a.m. Emergency responders arrived promptly, but despite life-saving measures, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities.

Police have withheld the identity of the deceased and provided no details on the circumstances of the collision or the driver involved.

Investigation and Road Closure

Investigators closed the highway from Upper James Street to Garth Street for several hours to examine the scene. The roadway has since reopened to traffic.

Authorities urge drivers in the area at the time to submit any dash cam footage to aid the ongoing probe.
