Russian forces launched a new cruise missile in a strike on Kharkiv, killing at least 10 people and wounding 16 others, regional authorities report. The attack targeted a residential building with the Izdeliye-30, a subsonic air-launched weapon featuring a 1,500km range and advanced satellite navigation resistant to jamming. Ukrainian officials note that Russia began deploying this missile recently.

Tragic Casualties in Kharkiv

Among the victims were a primary schoolteacher and her second-grade son, killed in their home, as well as an eighth-grader and her mother. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov confirmed these details, highlighting the human toll of the assault.

Wider Overnight Onslaught

The Kharkiv strike formed part of a broader barrage across Ukraine, involving 29 missiles and 480 drones overnight. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the attacks focused on energy facilities in Kyiv and central regions, damaging at least seven sites nationwide.
