Sharon Osbourne and her daughter Kelly delivered a moving speech accepting the Lifetime Achievement Award on behalf of the late Ozzy Osbourne at the 2026 BRIT Awards. The ceremony took place on Saturday evening, featuring tributes from Dolly Parton and Robbie Williams.
Osbournes’ Heartfelt Acceptance
Dolly Parton introduced Sharon and Kelly via a pre-recorded message from Nashville. Sharon described her late husband as “the most humble egomaniac you could ever meet.” She expressed honor in accepting the award, stating, “God knows, I wish he was here to accept it himself.”
Sharon recounted Ozzy’s journey from a working-class Birmingham neighborhood to global stardom. She highlighted his highs and lows, relentless drive for improvement, and unwavering pride as a “Brummie.” Ozzy, the Black Sabbath frontman, passed away in July 2025 at age 76, just two weeks after his farewell concert at Villa Park in Birmingham.
“We spent most of our lives touring the world, but Ozzy’s heart never left England,” Sharon noted. She accepted the award for his family, fellow musicians, and fans who lined Birmingham streets during his memorial. “If Ozzy was here tonight, he would be showing us that gorgeous smile… He left us one amazing body of work that will never be forgotten by the country that made him.”
Kelly then took the microphone, saying emotionally, “Thank you for loving my father as much as we do.” She added, “I hope I don’t disrespect Manchester by saying this, but up the Villa and Birmingham,” supporting Ozzy’s beloved Aston Villa football team. Playful boos from the Manchester crowd prompted Sharon to laugh, “Knew you were gonna get that. I told you.”
Tribute Performances
Robbie Williams followed with a powerful rendition of Ozzy’s hit “No More Tears,” fronting a supergroup featuring Adam Wakeman, Robert Trujillo, Tommy Clufetos, and Zakk Wylde from Ozzy’s band. Massive images of Ozzy displayed onscreen behind the performers, closing the ceremony on a high note. Fans praised the tribute as a fitting end to the evening.
