Sharon Osbourne appeared composed and received support from her children Jack and Kelly at the Pre-Grammy gala in Beverly Hills, California. The family presented a united front, all dressed in black, during the event held six months after Ozzy Osbourne’s death. They are also anticipated to attend the 68th annual Grammy Awards on February 1, where the rock icon will receive a special tribute performance.

Family Reunites Amid Tributes

Inside the gala, the Osbournes interacted with fellow celebrities, including Ozzy’s longtime friend Yungblud and his partner Jesse Jo Stark, as well as Machine Gun Kelly and Jelly Roll. The gathering highlighted the music industry’s ongoing recognition of Ozzy’s legacy.

Sharon Reflects on Ozzy’s Legendary Career

Earlier at the Billboard Power 100 event, Sharon accepted the Visionary Award and shared insights into Ozzy’s distinctive path in music. She recounted a memorable incident from his early career during a meeting with CBS Records.

Sharon described how Ozzy brought two doves to a meet-and-greet to sign his deal. The session ended abruptly when he ripped off a dove’s head and tossed it onto the table. CBS Records president Walter Yetnikoff had security escort both out of the building, warning that Ozzy’s career would be ruined if he returned.

Despite the ejection, Sharon noted, Ozzy never set foot in that building again, yet he went on to sell nearly 100 million records for the label.

The 73-year-old emphasized Ozzy’s unconventional approach: “Everything he did, he did his way. He was wild. He was creative. He wrote some of the best melodic lines in heavy metal.”

She added that Ozzy stood out by incorporating melody into the genre, stating, “Nobody would be melodic in metal except for Ozzy Osbourne, and that’s what made him stand out. He was unique. And there will never, ever be another Ozzy Osbourne in this industry again.”
