A dedicated sheep farmer in the Yorkshire Dales has built a loyal following both in her fields and online. Known as the Penyghent Shepherdess, this 29-year-old herder manages her livestock by day and pursues a side career as an online cam model and performer by night, carving out a unique niche that celebrates her farming roots.
From Nervous Beginnings to Growing Confidence
The farmer recalls her initial foray into online modeling with apprehension. “I was really nervous on my first day on camera,” she shares. “I was shy and wouldn’t even have my mic on to begin with, but as the night went on, I became more and more confident. Before I knew it, I was chatting to guys; they were admiring my boots and cowgirl hat.”
Her content quickly gained traction, attracting new followers eager for authentic farming-themed material. “I’ve had so many new followers and messages from people,” she notes. “They’ve been asking for more of my amazing farming content—from rolling in straw to modeling on saddles; people are also really into wellies and boots!”
A Path from Vet Work to Independent Farming
The shepherdess’s journey into agriculture began after leaving a challenging relationship. Previously working as a veterinary nurse assistant, she enjoyed the camaraderie among farmers. “I used to be a veterinary nurse assistant and really enjoyed the craic with the farmers—they’ve got great banter,” she explains. “It was really fun and entertaining; I loved the animal side of it there.”
Her passion deepened when she gifted her daughter pet lambs for her birthday, sparking a rapid expansion of her farming endeavors. As a first-generation farmer—her parents never worked the land—she now oversees a diverse group of animals. This includes Valais and Swaledale sheep, mules, and four horses. The farm where she lives also keeps cows, and she once raised pigs, which she particularly cherished.
Embracing a Distinct Niche for Success
Success in her online venture stems from leaning into her authentic farmer identity rather than conforming to conventional modeling standards. “I don’t have blonde hair or big fake boobs,” she states. “There are so many gorgeous girls, and I have tiny boobs—so I want to keep my niche as a farmer.”
Her debut session featured black lingerie paired with a cowgirl hat and long boots, leading to unexpected requests focused on footwear, hats, and feet. This approach not only sets her apart but also fosters connections in the often isolated agricultural sector. “It can be a very lonely place, so knowing they can log on and chat to me or send me a DM is really nice,” she says. “It’s a very isolated sector, so I think there’s a bit of a gap in the market where I can bring my niche to them.”
Viewers respond positively, with several expressing enthusiasm for future interactions. “I think I had about four or five gentlemen who said, ‘Let me know when you’re back on.’ They seemed really happy to speak to me again,” she adds. “And I think men are really supportive, really good in that way—it’s usually women who make negative judgments; but I don’t care—I’m doing me.”
Future Plans: Merging Passions Seamlessly
Excited about her dual pursuits, the Penyghent Shepherdess envisions a future rich in both sheep shearing and stylish online appearances. “I really love blending the two together,” she enthuses. “Who knew I could dress up in lingerie but still put on a cowgirl boot? I really want to push it, like riding on my saddle on cam. This raunchy side of me is only just getting started—I reckon I could do this ’til the cows come home.”
