A 51-year-old Sudbury resident faces animal cruelty charges after Greater Sudbury police and bylaw officers investigated a video showing him kicking a dog. The footage circulated widely online earlier this week.
Swift Investigation and Dog’s Rescue
Authorities launched the probe on February 14 following a reports a community member. The video, shared online, captured the disturbing incident and prompted immediate action.
The dog has been removed from the home and placed in a secure animal shelter, where it receives proper care and support.
Charges and Court Appearance
The man was released on an undertaking with strict conditions prohibiting him from caring for or controlling any animals. He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
