President Donald Trump issues a stark warning that U.S. military operations in Iran are far from over, targeting bridges and electric power plants next after a devastating strike on the nation’s tallest bridge.

Trump’s Direct Threat on Truth Social

Late Thursday, Trump posts on Truth Social: “Our Military, the greatest and most powerful (by far!) anywhere in the World, hasn’t even started destroying what’s left in Iran. Bridges next, then Electric Power Plants! New Regime leadership knows what has to be done, and has to be done, FAST!”

In a Wednesday televised address, Trump states the conflict could intensify if Iran rejects U.S. demands, with potential strikes on energy and oil infrastructure. He adds: “We are going to hit them extremely hard over the next two to three weeks. We are going to bring them back to the Stone Ages, where they belong.”

Deadly Strike on B1 Bridge

The warning follows a strike on the B1 bridge, Iran’s tallest at 136 meters, connecting Tehran to the western city of Karaj. Two waves of attacks kill eight people and injure at least 95 others, according to Iranian state media. The second strike hits as rescuers respond, causing a massive hole in the structure and thick smoke plumes.

Trump claims U.S. forces near completion of key objectives but offers no end timeline for the war.

Dozens of U.S.-based international law experts release an open letter Thursday, arguing U.S. strikes may violate the 1949 Geneva Conventions. These protocols ban attacks on civilian-essential sites and require distinguishing military from civilian targets.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi condemns the bridge attack as evidence of U.S. “defeat and moral collapse.” He declares: “Every bridge and building will be built back stronger. What will never recover: damage to America’s standing.” Araghchi notes a key difference from the Stone Age era.

Conflict Background

The war erupts on February 28 when U.S. and Israeli forces strike Iran. Tehran retaliates with attacks on Israel and Gulf states hosting U.S. bases. Ongoing U.S.-Israeli operations in Iran and Israeli strikes in Lebanon kill thousands and displace millions.

Global oil prices surge, and markets tremble amid the largest U.S. military campaign since the 2003 Iraq invasion. Trump’s varying statements fuel ongoing uncertainty.
