Court Hears Allegations of Extremist Incitement Against Migrants

A 46-year-old Stafford man appeared in court Friday facing terrorism charges related to allegedly urging violence against migrants and distributing extremist materials. Ivan Jennings stands accused of encouraging acts of terrorism through online communications between August and November 2024.

Extremist Content and Violent Rhetoric Alleged

Prosecutor Lee Ingham outlined allegations that Jennings participated in multiple far-right social media groups, including Telegram channels. Court documents claim Jennings encouraged others to emulate Christchurch attacker Brenton Tarrant while discussing violent tactics including Molotov cocktails and “killing migrants when they arrive on their boats.”

Additional Terrorism-Related Charges

Jennings faces additional counts related to disseminating terrorist publications, including Anders Breivik’s manifesto, The Anarchist’s Cookbook, and The White Resistance Manual. Authorities further allege he possessed material related to “The Great Replacement” conspiracy theory for terrorist purposes.

Mrs. Justice Cheema-Grubb confirmed the case will be heard at Leicester Crown Court. A plea hearing is scheduled for April 24, with a provisional two-week trial beginning January 4, 2027. Jennings, who only confirmed his identity during proceedings, remains on bail pending trial.
