BermudAir to launch service from LaGuardia and Newark airports

Two of the New York Metropolis area’s largest airports are getting new nonstop flights to Bermuda.

Leisure airline BermudAir will land at LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and Newark Liberty Worldwide Airport (EWR) in October, shifting to the town’s major airports from the northern suburbs.

The Bermuda-based service that gives signature darkish and stormy cocktails onboard will start flights from Bermuda’s L.F. Wade Worldwide Airport (BDA) to EWR on Oct. 26, BermudAir mentioned Thursday.

Three days later, it is going to debut flights from BDA to LGA. And, on Dec. 18, BermudAir’s new subsidiary, AnguillAir, will launch twice-weekly flights on Thursdays and Sundays from Anguilla’s Clayton J. Lloyd Worldwide Airport (AXA) to EWR.

BermudAir will serve EWR from BDA twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays, and it will serve LGA twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The airline flies a mixture of Embraer E175 and E190 plane.

As a part of the community shift, the service will finish service to Westchester County Airport (HPN) close to White Plains, New York (north of New York Metropolis) when its EWR and LGA flights start.

“Increasing our New York-area service is a major step ahead for BermudAir, offering each leisure and company vacationers with extra flexibility and handy entry to Bermuda,” Adam Scott, founder and CEO at BermudAir, mentioned in an announcement.

Takeoff and touchdown rights at LGA are ruled by tightly regulated slots, and runway timings at EWR are equally aggressive. BermudAir declined to say the place it sourced the brand new LGA slots and EWR runway timings vital for these flights.
