Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, brother of King Charles III and formerly known as Prince Andrew, faces arrest on suspicion of misconduct in public office. Officers detained him early Thursday at Wood Farm on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk.3534

Police Launch Searches and Hold Suspect

Thames Valley Police, supported by local forces, executed the arrest with six unmarked cars and plain-clothed officers. Searches continue at properties in Berkshire and Norfolk. The suspect, described as a man in his sixties from Norfolk, remains in custody.3336

Thames Valley Police stated: “As part of the investigation, we have today (19/2) arrested a man in his sixties from Norfolk on suspicion of misconduct in public office and are carrying out searches at addresses in Berkshire and Norfolk. The man remains in police custody at this time. We will not be naming the arrested man, as per national guidance.”35

Assistant Chief Constable Oliver Wright confirmed the probe. “Following a thorough assessment, we have now opened an investigation into this allegation of misconduct in public office,” Wright said. “It is important that we protect the integrity and objectivity of our investigation as we work with our partners.”3436

Investigators link the case to Mountbatten-Windsor’s ties with Jeffrey Epstein. US Department of Justice files reveal 2010 emails about official visits and investments, plus claims of sharing confidential details as UK trade envoy and trafficking a woman for an encounter. Mountbatten-Windsor, celebrating his 66th birthday, denies all wrongdoing. No charges have been filed.3436
