Basketball star Stephen Curry, serving as Google’s Performance Advisor through a multi-year partnership, has hinted at an upcoming product launch. A recent 15-second Instagram video features Curry dribbling a basketball while sporting a noticeable gray-and-orange band on his left wrist.

The Teaser Video Details

The clip includes on-screen text reading, “A new relationship with your health coming soon,” and concludes with the Google logo. In a voiceover, Curry states, “I’m excited for what this is going to mean for the world, for health, for wellness. It’s the first of its kind in a way. I won’t spoil it — you kind of have to see it for yourself.”

Google’s Confirmation

Google confirms that its Performance Advisor has collaborated with the team on “something special.” The company adds, “More to share soon.”

Device Similarities and Speculation

The band closely resembles a Whoop fitness tracker, though no screen or module appears in the footage. Analysts suggest artificial intelligence could play a key role in differentiating Google’s offering.

Whoop, founded in 2012, recently secured $575 million in funding, achieving a $10 billion valuation. Investors include athletes such as LeBron James and Cristiano Ronaldo.
