A Brooklyn brute was nabbed this week for allegedly bashing a 71-year-old man within the head with a shovel – simply days after cops say he stole ribeye steak from his native grocery store. 

Sean P. Abt, 24, was arrested Tuesday night and charged with assault in connection to the random Dec. 27 assault on the septuagenarian at Stryker Courtroom and West 1 Avenue in Gravesend, police mentioned. 

The weird shovel assault got here as a post-Christmas storm blanketed the Huge Apple in about 4 inches of snow.
