Fugitive, 26, busted in Washington State for allegedly strangling dad to loss of life in NYC house 3 years in the past: cops

A 26-year-old fugitive was arrested in Washington State, almost three years after he allegedly strangled his dad within the sufferer’s Bronx house, cops and sources stated Thursday.

Essa Kouyate was charged with homicide Thursday within the April 14, 2023 loss of life of his father, Yaya Kouyate, 48, who was discovered lifeless within the toilet of his twelfth flooring house on Hoe Avenue close to Jennings Road in Charlotte Gardens, police stated. 

His loss of life was dominated a murder by compression of the neck, the town medical expert’s workplace stated.

The youthful Kouyate – who lived within the metropolis of Seedro-Wooley, referred to as the “gateway” to the North Cascades Nationwide Park – was picked up there on Dec. 16 by US Marshals, in response to cops and on-line data. 

He remained in lockup on the Skagit County Jail till Wednesday, when he was transported again to the Massive Apple to face justice, the data present.

The motive for the slaying was not instantly identified. 

The arrested son was awaiting arraignment on Thursday.
