Kylie Jenner captivated attendees at the afterparty for Charli XCX’s The Moment premiere, donning a striking vintage Maison Margiela ensemble on Thursday night.
Afterparty Ensemble
The 28-year-old entrepreneur arrived in a ‘dress form’ bustier that highlighted her figure, paired with a midi-length black leather skirt and coordinating pointed-toe heels. Drawing from ’90s archival fashion, she opted for a burlap-inspired top and skipped jewelry entirely. Her jet-black hair was styled in a sleek pull-back, completing the retro vibe.
Jenner shared close-up photos of the outfit on her Instagram Stories, offering her nearly 400 million followers a detailed view of the look. The styling was handled by the duo Mackenzie and Rose Grandquist.
Premiere Appearance and Film Role
Prior to the afterparty, Jenner attended the premiere itself, where she showcased a toned midriff in a ruffled cream-colored sleeveless blouse and a low-rise black maxi skirt, both from Maison Margiela.
In the film, Jenner makes her acting debut portraying herself in this satirical tour mockumentary centered on Charli XCX’s career-defining Brat era. The project, announced last October, blends concert footage with scripted scenes featuring stars like Alexander Skarsgård and Rachel Sennott.
About The Moment
Directed by Aidan Zamiri, The Moment premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City last weekend. The film traces the pop star’s journey leading up to her first headline tour, delving into her personal and public experiences. Scripted elements illustrate how subcultures evolve amid commercial success, including record executives debating ways to extend the ‘brat summer’ phenomenon indefinitely.
The Thursday premiere took place at LA’s Fine Arts Theatre, with the movie currently in limited release. A nationwide rollout is scheduled for February 6.
In the trailer released in December, Charli XCX reflects on fame’s pressures, stating, ‘Don’t you just think the whole, like, “Keep having a Brat Summer!” thing is a bit cringe? The label is like, “More Brat, Brat, Brat, Brat, Brat, forever,” and you know, maybe they are right. Urgh for f***’s sake.’ She adds, ‘Everyone’s so desperate for me to be f***ing innovative all the time. And f***ing cool!’
Jenner responds in the scene, ‘The second people are getting sick of you, that’s when you need to go even harder.’
