Sweet Mini-Reunion Captured in Instagram Selfies
Sofia Vergara shares heartwarming moments from a casual gathering with her former Modern Family co-stars Julie Bowen and Jesse Tyler Ferguson. The 53-year-old actress posted selfies on her Instagram account, highlighting the joyful reconnection with the duo, joined by Ferguson’s husband, Justin Mikita.
Vergara, who portrayed the vibrant Gloria Delgado-Pritchett across 11 seasons of the beloved ABC sitcom, smiles directly at the camera in one photo. Bowen and Ferguson beam alongside her, capturing the easy camaraderie that defined their on-screen family dynamic.
For the occasion, Vergara opts for a form-fitting brown knit dress topped with a sleek leather jacket. Her straight hair falls past her shoulders, parted in the middle, complemented by subtle earrings and statement rings. She enhances her look with mascara-accented lashes, smoky eye shadow, a touch of blush, and nude lipstick for a polished yet relaxed vibe.
In a follow-up Instagram Story, Vergara poses in a mirror selfie, showcasing her outfit and holding a tan clutch, offering fans an up-close view of her stylish ensemble.
Roles and Lasting Bonds from Modern Family
Bowen brought to life the organized Claire Dunphy, while Ferguson embodied the thoughtful Mitchell Pritchett in the series, which concluded in 2020. This latest meetup marks another chapter in their off-screen friendship.
Previous gatherings include a 2023 dinner at Vergara’s mansion, where Bowen, Ferguson, and Mikita enjoyed an intimate evening. Later that year, Vergara hosted a larger cast reunion featuring Rico Rodriguez, Ed O’Neill, Nolan Gould, Sarah Hyland, Ariel Winter, Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, and Eric Stonestreet. Ty Burrell’s absence was playfully addressed with a framed photo of him at the event.
Vergara reflects on the group’s enduring connection in a recent interview, stating, “We are still like a family. Everything we do, we are connected in a gigantic chat with all the kids and all the actors. And we’re always watching each other, supporting each other.”
She also recalls the initial challenges post-finale, noting how production’s end coincided with pandemic lockdowns: “We kind of got separated because we finished, and two weeks later, they closed everything for COVID. We got disconnected really fast.”
Recent Ventures and Collaborations
Vergara stays active in her career, recently teaming up with Octavia Spencer for the Detect the SOS campaign. This initiative promotes awareness of chronic kidney disease through a simple uACR urine test, targeting those with high blood pressure or type 2 diabetes to detect risks for heart attacks or strokes. The advertisement will debut during Super Bowl LX on February 8.
Spencer emphasizes the campaign’s importance, sharing, “Your body could be sending out an SOS if your kidneys are malfunctioning and you wanna answer the call. And while that sounds like it’s scary, the way to detect it is easy.”
Just last week, Vergara turned heads at the premiere of Paris Hilton’s documentary Infinite Icon: A Visual Memoir. She wore a strapless leather dress that accentuated her figure, with her dark hair styled in soft waves. At the event, she mingled with guests like model Heidi Klum, later posting photos of them sharing popcorn in the theater.
