Prince Andrew, also known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, faces the possibility of leaving his temporary home on the Royal Family’s Norfolk estate ahead of schedule. Experts point to recent developments accelerating his relocation from Wood Farm at Sandringham.
He shifted to the farmhouse in February after vacating his Windsor residence of over 20 years amid new details on his association with Jeffrey Epstein. The arrangement at Wood Farm remains short-term while crews finalize renovations at the adjacent five-bedroom Marsh Farm, yet the timeline may shorten further, with a move potentially occurring within the next two weeks.
Easter Demand Drives Quick Turnaround
Wood Farm attracts extended Royal Family members for Easter getaways. Recent sightings of removal vans delivering furniture and appliances to Marsh Farm, alongside round-the-clock work and new security gates, signal haste.
Matt Wilkinson, royal editor at The Sun, highlighted the push during an appearance on Hello! magazine’s A Right Royal Podcast. “The Royal Family use Wood Farm a lot and the Easter holidays are coming up, so there may be wider extended members of the family that would want to pop up for a holiday, a free holiday, basically, and want to use Wood Farm,” he explained.
“So Andrew’s got to get into Marsh Farm next door pretty sharpish,” Wilkinson added. “They’ve put the gates up, these big security gates outside. They’ve been working around the clock for the last couple of weeks.”
Initial plans targeted a Marsh Farm move by Easter’s first weekend in April, but acceleration aims to reclaim Wood Farm promptly and curb any prolonged comfort. “We were told that we were to expect Andrew to be into his new final exile by Easter, which is the first weekend in April,” Wilkinson noted. “But I have a sneaking suspicion he could be in even before that, because they want Wood Farm back. You know, the longer he’s there, the more comfy he gets.”
Ongoing Scrutiny Over Epstein Ties
Andrew stays out of the spotlight following his arrest on suspicion of misconduct in public office related to Epstein connections; authorities released him under investigation. Epstein files feature him multiple times, including images with unidentified women, though he consistently denies wrongdoing.
