Katy Perry and her boyfriend, former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, attended a glamorous event for the second season of Netflix’s Beef at the Montecito home of Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos and his wife, Nicole Avant. The 41-year-old singer and Trudeau shared a warm photo cuddling up with the hosts, Sarandos, 61, and Avant, 58.

Star-Studded Gathering

The exclusive tastemaker event in Santa Barbara County, California, drew a high-profile crowd, including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Actors Charles Melton and Carey Mulligan, who star in Beef season 2, also joined the festivities. Perry’s ex-boyfriend, Orlando Bloom, 49, posed separately with Sarandos and Avant but attended solo.

Perry and Bloom dated for nine years and were engaged for six before splitting last year. She began her relationship with Trudeau in July 2025. Bloom has reportedly started dating 28-year-old bikini model Luisa Laemmel.

Coachella Weekend Romance

Perry and Trudeau recently enjoyed Coachella in Indio, California, catching Justin Bieber’s headline performance. Perry posted loving photos and videos, including them sharing beers, embracing while singing Bieber’s hits, and holding hands amid the festival crowd.

Their night extended into early morning with dancing at a nightclub and late-night noodles. Perry wore a bold crop top reading: ‘Pls do not give me a rip off your vape no matter what I say.’

Trudeau’s Son Gives Relationship Thumbs Up

Trudeau’s 18-year-old son, Xav, an aspiring musician, expressed support for his father’s romance. On the Can’t Be Censored podcast, Xav revealed Perry offers songwriting advice. ‘When I’m really happy with a song I send it to her. She’s always happy to give me advice or tell me what I should change,’ he said.

‘She’s super nice. She’s super down to earth. She’s great. I think that my dad’s happy so that’s important,’ Xav added. Growing up in the public eye due to his father’s prominence, he views photos of them together as routine, like ‘any other picture of my dad and my mom. Or just my dad.’

Xav’s mother, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, serves as a public speaker, author, and mental health advocate. He described his life as ‘so crazy sometimes,’ but chooses to laugh it off. Despite online criticism for his music, Xav focuses on positivity, though he admits negativity occasionally affects him.
