StudioCanal has revealed plans for two additional Paddington films and a TV series during CinemaCon in Las Vegas. CEO Anna Marsh confirmed that Paddington 4 is now in development, with a team of comedy writers crafting the script.

Expanding the Beloved Franchise

Since 2014, StudioCanal UK has brought Michael Bond’s Paddington Bear to life through live-action animated films. Ben Whishaw provides the voice of the iconic bear. Paul King directed the first two installments, while Paddington in Peru, released two years ago, introduced a new director and writer. Emily Mortimer stepped in as Mrs. Brown, succeeding Sally Hawkins.

New Projects on the Horizon

In addition to Paddington 4, a separate animated Paddington film is underway. This joins a previously announced Paddington TV series. After the bear’s adventures in Peru, the next story likely returns him to London.

Fans anticipate potential returns like Hugh Grant as the villainous Phoenix Buchanan from earlier films.
