A video captures a British tourist confronting a group of Israeli visitors at a restaurant in Vietnam, shouting pro-Palestine slogans and hurling insults. The woman approaches tables, asks about their origins, and erupts in anger upon learning they are Israeli.
Latest Restaurant Confrontation
In the footage, the tourist pretends to film a documentary before demanding to know where diners are from. When two women confirm they are Israeli, she declares, “Free Palestine. It’s the best country in the world.” She then questions another table and addresses the entire restaurant: “Is everyone from Israel in here? I love Palestine, it’s the best country in the world.”
She escalates, yelling, “Israel does not have the right to exist, you lot are Zionists, you do not belong in Vietnam.” The woman also asks, “How many of you have served in the IDF?” As upset Israelis urge her to leave, she continues with taunts like “Free Palestine, nobody likes you,” prompting one to respond with a middle finger gesture.
Pro-Palestine social media accounts share the video with praise. One user comments, “The world must do this everyday everywhere.” Another states, “We must ostracise and shame them wherever they go! No space for [genociders] on our planet! Well done to this woman!”
Prior Incident with British Pair
This follows another video from last week showing two British tourists harassing an Israeli couple at a Vietnam restaurant, a popular spot for Israeli travelers. The women spot a tattoo and ask if the couple is from Palestine. The Israeli woman replies, “It’s difficult.” Laughing, one British tourist says, “I don’t think they’re from Palestine.”
Upon learning they speak Hebrew, one declares, “Oh right, you’re Israeli… fake state of Israel. It doesn’t exist.” They accuse the couple of IDF service and killing civilians in Palestine. The exchange turns hostile, with chants of “Viva, viva Iran” and “Boom, boom, Tel Aviv, this is what you get for all your evil deeds.”
One British woman mocks, “We’re just goyim aren’t we, we’re just worthless animals,” while the other tells the Israelis, “You’re superior.” As the couple tries to eat, the man calls the situation “ridiculous.” A woman retorts, “It is ridiculous – killing children is ridiculous,” demanding they oppose genocide and Netanyahu, plus mention Ben Gvir.
The Israeli woman snaps, “Okay – we’ve got the opinion. Now can you shut the f*** up?” The response: “No! Don’t you dare tell us to shut the f*** up… You are monsters, you’re savages… shameful.” As the couple leaves, the women shout, “Go, get lost,” “Run away, run away, like the Palestinians,” and “I hope Israel falls.” One adds, “Well now the Israelis are getting bombed.” They call the man a “murderer” repeatedly, labeling them a “disgrace.” The video ends with taunts: “Look at the rats running away, scurry, scurry!”
Escalation at Temple and Lobby
Additional footage shows the same British pair pursuing Israelis down a hill near a mountainside temple, yelling “baby killers” and “murderers.” One asks, “Are you proud of yourself for murdering children?” and jeers, “You’re not so tough without your guns and bombs. Why are you running away?” Taunts persist: “You just kill babies,” “disgusting.” One pretends to vomit.
A separate clip depicts them confronting an Israeli woman in a lobby, asking if she killed people in the IDF. She replies, “Actually, no,” and walks away as they demand she condemn the genocide.
A Community Security Trust (CST) spokesperson stated: “The footage circulating online of Israeli tourists being harassed by British tourists while on holiday is utterly disgraceful. This is blatant racism masquerading as so-called anti-Zionism and exposes the antisemitism that is all too common in anti-Israel circles.”
