Cowell recounted checking into London’s Mandarin Oriental for £2,000 just to take a bath after his boiler broke. Laughing at the memory, he admitted, “I p***** away so much money in hindsight.”
Reflecting on his early success, Cowell explained his mindset shift: “I didn’t have a lot of money to start with, and when I started making a lot, I was like, ‘wow, this is fantastic.’ But now I’m like, ‘why did I spend all that?’ He added that he feels more cautious these days.
