Hollywood legend Ann-Margret makes her first public appearance since a recent fall that resulted in a broken elbow. The 84-year-old star attended a USO event honoring her legacy of service at the Margaret Herrick Library in Beverly Hills last week.
Vibrant Appearance Post-Injury
Ann-Margret turned heads with her signature strawberry red hair cascading down, complemented by plum-toned makeup and purple-tinted sunglasses. She donned a striking neon lime coat paired with embroidered black boots, appearing in good spirits and health despite the mishap.
The Home Fall and Quick Recovery
The actress suffered the injury after falling at home in early April, which led to hospitalization and a broken right elbow. This forced her to cancel a planned autograph session. “I fell the other day and so now my right elbow is broken,” Ann-Margret shared in a recent interview. “I’m going to try and be really really careful and not flop down, not fall again, but one never knows.”
Dismissing the incident lightly, she added, “That’s okay. I have fallen so many times. I don’t intend to, but I do! What can I say? I have always learned from my parents that you just get up. You just start all over again. ‘Nothing’s impossible I have found, for when my chin is on the ground. I pick myself up, I dust myself off, and I start all over again!'”
Her fitness routine continues uninterrupted, with adjustments from her trainer. “Now I’m just doing things with my legs,” she explained. “I have a gentleman that comes Tuesdays, Thursdays and sometimes Fridays [to help with] all sorts of exercises.” The trainer’s motivation keeps her active: “If I don’t do that, I’ll probably start saying, ‘Well, I don’t know. I’ve got a cold. I’ve got this, I’ve got that.’ But this man keeps me going.”

The Swedish-American actress, dancer, and singer rose to fame in the 1960s and 1970s with iconic roles in films like Pocketful of Miracles (1961), State Fair (1962), Bye Bye Birdie (1963), and Viva Las Vegas (1964), opposite Elvis Presley, whom she dated.
