Lamar County officials confirm early reports of roofs damaged at the local Industrial Park, along with numerous downed trees blocking access. In Leake County, authorities shared images showing severe flooding and toppled trees in the wake of the storms.

Mississippi Emergency Management reports that 815 homes in Franklin and Lincoln counties sustained damage. A mobile home park in Bogue Chitto experienced heavy destruction, with first responders facing challenges reaching the site due to debris and fallen trees. Volunteer firefighters from neighboring counties are now assisting with recovery operations.

Governor’s Response and Ongoing Alerts

Governor Tate Reeves stated on social media, “The state of Mississippi is in contact with local emergency managers and first responders,” while urging residents to “pray for Mississippi.” A tornado watch remains active for Adams County until 11 p.m.
