Canva has introduced its highly anticipated Offline Mode at the annual Create 2026 conference, responding directly to years of user feedback with the phrase, “We hear you.”
Offline Editing for Travelers and Beyond
This marks the first time the online-first design platform supports full offline editing, complete with automatic syncing once internet connections return. The feature addresses key needs for traveling professionals facing spotty signals on planes, trains, or remote areas. It also advances Canva’s mission to democratize design by enhancing accessibility in developing regions with unreliable internet.
Users can download specific files and designs for offline access when planning to disconnect. While starting entirely new projects offline remains uncertain—due to potential large download requirements—the company views this initial rollout as a major step forward.
Learn Grid Resources Now Free for All
In tandem, Canva opened its education-focused Learn Grid to every user. This curriculum-mapped platform offers thousands of ready-made resources in 16 languages, editable via AI tools. Primarily aimed at teachers, it proves valuable for community projects and extracurricular programs as well.
Streamlined Print Shop Integration
Canva also upgraded its Print Shop (formerly Canva Print), providing a seamless end-to-end solution for designing, printing, and delivering merchandise—all within the platform. No downloads or third-party tools required.
These announcements followed the spotlight on Canva AI 2.0, positioning Offline Mode, Learn Grid, and Print Shop as standout additions for broader usability.
