Police Arrest Man After Car Theft Crash Triggers School Lockdown

A 31-year-old man faces charges north of Brisbane following an alleged car theft from Morayfield early this morning, which led to a severe traffic collision and a nearby school lockdown.

Details of the Crash

Emergency responders arrived at the intersection of Victoria Lane and Archer Street in Woodford around 6:10 a.m. for a two-vehicle accident. Paramedics treated a 60-year-old woman from Caboolture South, the driver of the second car, who sustained life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the reportedly stolen vehicle, a man, escaped the scene on foot after the impact.

Arrest at Local School

Authorities apprehended the suspect approximately 8:30 a.m. at a nearby school, prompting a precautionary lockdown to ensure student safety. Police continue to investigate the incident.
