Chelsea faces a late decision on including Reece James and Levi Colwill in the squad for the Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge.
Injury Latest and Team News
Levi Colwill has yet to feature for the first team this season following an anterior cruciate ligament injury from the club’s initial pre-season session. Interim head coach McFarlane indicated both players could potentially return for Monday’s match.
“Reece is back in training, Levi is back in training – both looking good,” McFarlane stated. “We’ve got a little way away from the game, so both are looking good. We’ll see how it goes.”
When asked if one player was progressing faster, he added: “Not really. We’re taking it day by day. Reece had a really good run and got injured but is looking good.”
Predicted Lineup
McFarlane plans a strong starting XI against the in-form visitors. Malo Gusto may shift to the bench if James proves fit to start.
A key choice lies on the right wing: Cole Palmer could deploy there, or Pedro Neto might continue in that role with Palmer shifting centrally.
In midfield, Romeo Lavia may partner Moises Caicedo, or Andrey Santos could fill that spot alongside the Ecuadorian.
Player Status
