Christine Quinn’s estranged husband, Christian Dumontet, reveals he spends $27,000 each month maintaining a vacant Los Angeles mansion they once shared. The 47-year-old businessman seeks sole legal ownership to sell the property and halt mounting financial losses.

Court Filing Details Financial Strain

Dumontet filed documents in Los Angeles court on Friday, outlining his request for control of the home. He purchased the residence as an investment in 2019, shortly before marrying the 37-year-old Selling Sunset star. The property carries a $3.5 million mortgage, with additional costs for rent, security, and upkeep draining thousands monthly.

“This is not sustainable,” Dumontet states in the filing. “I require immediate court intervention to stop this financial hemorrhaging.” He emphasizes the need to sell the non-income-producing asset quickly.

Family Background and Separation

The couple, parents to four-year-old son Christian, separated in March 2024 following domestic violence allegations. Quinn secured a temporary restraining order, resulting in Dumontet’s arrests on consecutive occasions. Despite challenges, Dumontet invested heavily in repairs and renovations when permitted access to the home.

Dumontet now lives in France with his girlfriend and their one-year-old son. Quinn has not resided in the LA property since September 2025 and made no financial contributions toward its purchase, mortgage, or maintenance, according to the court documents. The requested emergency order was denied.

Quinn’s New Life in Texas

Quinn relocated to her native Texas post-separation. In a recent interview, she expressed gratitude for the move, stating, “I am really, really grateful to be living here,” near family including a sister and her son’s cousin. She described finding a “wonderful house” about 60 percent complete, with plans to enhance its interior design.
