Crispin Glover Faces Battery Lawsuit
A British model has filed a lawsuit against Back to the Future actor Crispin Glover, accusing him of battery and other claims. Glover, 61, denies all allegations.
The plaintiff, identified as Jane Doe and aged 30, alleges Glover enticed her from the UK to his Los Angeles home with promises of housing and employment. Once there, she claims he sought to make her serve as a live-in girlfriend and sex slave.
Plaintiff’s Allegations
Court documents detail that Glover contacted Doe via social media in 2015 and encouraged her move to LA. They met in Dresden in 2023, where he reportedly showed her Nazi memorabilia. Doe, who discloses having autism spectrum disorder, describes herself as a practicing Muslim.
Early in 2024, Doe relocated to Glover’s Silver Lake residence, relinquishing her European apartment and possessions at his urging. She asserts Glover tracked her movements, controlled her interactions, and expected unpaid work and companionship.
One day, Doe visited a mosque despite Glover’s warning. Upon return, he allegedly locked her out, leaving her belongings and cats inside, rendering her homeless.
When Doe attempted to retrieve her cats, Glover reportedly grabbed her neck, placed her in a headlock, and caused a visible scar. A photo of the neck mark accompanies the lawsuit. Glover then called police, portraying her as an intruder despite her tenancy status.
Doe claims Glover’s subsequent restraining order was fraudulent, swiftly dismissed, yet caused lasting harm to her reputation and career. She accuses him of ongoing harassment and manipulation.
Glover’s Defense
Glover’s attorney firmly rejects the claims: “Mr. Glover denies these baseless allegations in the strongest possible terms. The reality is that on March 2, 2024, Mr. Glover was the victim of an unprovoked felony assault by Jane Doe at his Los Angeles residence. Mr. Glover called LAPD, which came to the scene, investigated, and arrested Jane Doe.”
The statement adds: “These facts are documented by law enforcement records and by the restraining order filed by Mr. Glover against Jane Doe at that time. Mr. Glover intends to vigorously defend himself and pursue all available relief. He is confident the judicial process will expose this lawsuit as a meritless fabrication.”
