Jerry Hall Plans Early Finish for 70th Birthday Party

Supermodel Jerry Hall schedules her 70th birthday celebration for July at her expansive country estate near Henley-on-Thames. Invitations specify the event runs from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., signaling a shift from wild past nights to a more restrained gathering.

Guests include all eight children fathered by her former partner, Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, who turns 83 later that month. This encompasses Hall’s four children—James, Lizzy, Georgia, and Gabriel—along with their partners and grandchildren: Juni (10), Eugene (4), and Dean (1). Others invited are Karis Jagger (55), Lucas (from model Luciana Morad), and Jade (from Jagger’s first wife Bianca), plus Jade’s adult children Amba and Assisi, and her 11-year-old son Ray.

Hall and Jagger maintain amicable relations despite past tensions, including the 1999 revelation of Lucas’s birth and Jagger’s annulment of their 1990 Bali ceremony. Hall attended his family Christmas party last year.

The 26-acre property features 11 bedrooms and three cottages, site of son Gabriel’s 2021 wedding. Hall retained it post-2022 divorce from Rupert Murdoch. She recently switched on Henley’s Christmas lights, calling it the prettiest place she has lived. A spaniel named Spot serves as her companion.

Hall shares her excitement: “I’m having a very big birthday party in the summer – I’m excited about that.” She adds, “I’m loving being a granny. It’s the best. I’ve got three grandchildren and I’m teaching them how to garden – organic gardening! – and, you know, helping me with the chickens and having fun. I’m having a good time, I’m very lucky.”

Meghan Markle’s Photos with Netflix Executives Disappear

Four of five images showing Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle embracing Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos and his wife Nicole Avant vanish from public view. The photos, from a California event celebrating the second season of hit series Beef last Friday, appeared via Getty Images about 24 hours later before removal by Tuesday.

Remaining is a group shot with Prince Harry, Meghan, Sarandos, and Avant. Notably absent are close-contact images. Online reactions label them “cringeworthy,” amid reports of strained Sussex-Netflix ties.

This echoes last year’s quick removal of Harry and Meghan’s photos from Kris Jenner’s birthday party. Neither Netflix nor the Sussexes comment on the deletions. A Getty spokesperson states: “Those images were shot for Netflix and they have asked for them to be removed, so we can no longer license them.”

Sources note approvals occur post-event, with the 24-hour delay unusual. Post-publication removals prove rare. The Sussexes’ $100 million Netflix deal since 2020 yielded Harry & Meghan, Harry’s polo documentary, and With Love, Meghan. Last summer’s downgrade to “first look,” plus ending the As Ever partnership after reported unsold stock, fuels speculation of waning support.

Agnes O’Casey Lands Lead in Le Carré Adaptation

Rising star Agnes O’Casey stars opposite Charlie Hunnam in BBC’s Legacy of Spies, reimagining John le Carré’s The Spy Who Came In From The Cold. O’Casey portrays sharp-witted librarian Liz Gold to Hunnam’s Alec Leamas.

Her recent stage turn in the role earned acclaim at Chichester Festival Theatre before the West End. Viewers recognize her from Netflix’s Black Doves and BBC’s Ridley Road. Matthew Macfadyen plays George Smiley, Dan Stevens is Bill Haydon, with Daniel Brühl and Felix Kammerer in the cast.

O’Casey describes Liz: “She’s really smart. She’s not the classic, confused female counterpart. She’s the heart of the story. It’s her integrity that makes Leamas fall in love with her.”

Lauren Sánchez Bezos Faces Met Gala Backlash

Criticism mounts over Lauren Sánchez Bezos’s involvement with New York’s Met Gala. A New York Times profile highlights her routines, like sipping coffee from a “Woke Up Sexy As Hell Again” mug, while husband Jeff Bezos’s reads “HUNK.” She recently claimed ignorance of her visible lace bra at Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Attention turns to her Met Ball appearance on the first Monday in May.

Midge Ure Admits Mixing Up Song Lyrics

Utravox frontman Midge Ure, touring the UK in May and June, confesses to frequent lyric errors. “I sing the wrong lyrics all the time. I’m not very good at it,” he says. “You can see the front rows of the audience from my position on the stage and I can see that they are singing the right lyrics, while I am singing the wrong ones.” He avoids his own music, leading to unfamiliarity.
