The man at the center of a recently viral video, who claims to have discovered his son in bed with his ex-partner, has a history that extends beyond this sensational event. Levi Hilton, a Gold Coast builder, gained widespread attention after posting footage of himself confronting his former girlfriend, Jessica Te Huia, and his 19-year-old son, Lorenzo Hilton. The video, showing the pair in their underwear, quickly ignited online debate, with Hilton alleging betrayal and attracting tens of thousands of followers in a short period.
However, this incident is not the first time Hilton has been in the public eye. Investigations reveal a past marked by profound family tragedy, significant legal entanglements, and violent confrontations.
Family Tragedy and Early Loss
Originally from New Zealand, Hilton experienced a devastating loss in 2014 when his younger brother, Ridge, died in a house fire at the age of 17. The teenager was found deceased in his bedroom after flames consumed the family’s Shepparton home in Victoria. Ridge had been alone in the house while his parents and siblings were in Queensland exploring potential relocation for job opportunities. Neighbors at the time reportedly heard loud music emanating from the residence in the hours leading up to the fire. Years later, Hilton faced legal repercussions. In 2020, he pleaded guilty to several traffic offenses, including possessing a fake driver’s license, driving while disqualified, and operating an unregistered and uninsured Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Representing himself in court, Hilton reportedly inquired about the magistrate’s interest in purchasing his Harley-Davidson for $24,000, a proposition that was firmly rejected. He was subsequently fined $2,310 and disqualified from driving for two years.
In 2022, Hilton was again involved in legal proceedings stemming from a public disturbance where law enforcement and ambulance personnel were assaulted. He ultimately pleaded guilty to two counts of assaulting a police officer and one count of assaulting an ambulance officer. Court testimony indicated that his aggressive behavior escalated after witnessing his younger brother’s arrest, which was reportedly linked to an alleged delay in paramedic arrival.
The following year, in July 2023, Beenleigh Magistrates Court heard details of another altercation. On January 18, 2022, Hilton had gone to collect a vehicle safety certificate from an 84-year-old retired police officer and decorated Army veteran. A dispute arose, and court evidence suggested Hilton grabbed the elderly man’s hand while trying to obtain the certificate, causing the veteran to lose his balance and fall. The veteran later stated that the incident left him feeling withdrawn and fearful. Hilton pleaded guilty to common assault and received a three-month prison sentence, suspended for nine months.

Te Huia has since responded to the widespread attention, asserting that her relationship with Hilton was in the past and that she had been in a stable relationship with Lorenzo for approximately three weeks.
