Lola Consuelos, daughter of television personalities Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, has marked the arrival of summer by sharing a striking sunbathing photograph. The 24-year-old reposted an image on May 29 originally taken in August 2024, showcasing her enjoying the sun. The picture features Lola lying on her stomach, clad in a khaki bikini set that includes a bandeau top and matching bottoms.
Fashion Forward Moments
In a separate image from the same session, Lola opted to go topless to prevent tan lines. Her beach ensemble was complemented by a stylish printed headscarf, sunglasses, and beaded drop earrings. Reflecting on the look at the time, Lola captioned the post: “Is this demure?” She added the hashtag “#summerishere!” as she shared the throwback on her Instagram Stories.
Lola and her mother, Kelly Ripa, frequently discuss and exchange fashion advice. Ripa has previously commented on their differing style choices, noting to People magazine, “There are so many things that I just can’t or won’t wear.” She elaborated on her personal style evolution, stating, “I really try not to, at this age, [wear miniskirts] – and especially since I spend most of my time sitting in a stool or a desk, I try to wear longer skirts.” Ripa also shared an anecdote about a specific skirt Lola wanted her to wear, admitting, “Today was a special occasion. Lola asked me to put on [the] skirt [she’s wearing] and I said, ‘I just cannot.’ Simply cannot. Past a certain age, you got to know when to hang up your disco shoes!” Ripa humorously added, “I think you’re in my closet a lot more than I even realize.”
Lola, in turn, described her mother’s fashion sense. “Chic is such a – I think that’s such a basic word to use, but you always have a touch of business as well in your outfits. You love a blazer, a high-waisted pant, a heel. It’s not conservative … It’s very chic and minimalistic, but in a very beautiful and authentic way to you,” Lola remarked about her mother’s style.
Rising Music Star
Beyond her fashion influence, Lola is actively pursuing a music career. Her musical style is characterized as soulful, bluesy R&B with jazzy undertones, featuring mature, husky vocals over smooth beats. Comparisons have been drawn to artists such as Amy Winehouse and SZA.
Lola made her performance debut in London in December at The Lower Third, a music and cocktail venue located on Denmark Street in Soho. The event celebrated the launch of her debut EP, titled “Sorry, It’s all about me.” The 6-track EP was featured in her set, along with a preview of an upcoming single.
Kelly Ripa expressed immense pride in her daughter’s achievements following the London show. “We are beside ourselves. She’s been working so hard and her hard work paid off and guess what? We pulled off the ultimate surprise,” Ripa stated. “She didn’t know we were here and we wanted to wait until it was all over to surprise her. We didn’t want to make her nervous.”
Lola herself was taken by surprise by her parents’ attendance. “I cried because I didn’t know they were coming!” she shared, adding, “You saw my reaction!”
