Man Faces Charges After Alleged Erratic Behavior Outside Dover Heights Residence
A man has been charged following an incident where he was reportedly acting erratically outside the million-dollar Dover Heights home of former nightclub owner John Ibrahim.
Authorities were alerted on May 24 by a concerned resident who observed a man in possession of knives and a Molotov cocktail near the property. The individual has been identified as 45-year-old Troy William Buck, also known as Troy Adam.
Buck, who is believed to be experiencing homelessness, faces multiple charges. These include possessing knives, explosives, and housebreaking implements in a public place. He has also been charged with being armed with intent to assault.
He was denied bail and is scheduled to appear in Waverley Local Court on Wednesday.
This development occurs as two individuals are preparing for trial in August for a separate alleged assassination attempt against Mr. Ibrahim. This incident reportedly took place near his Dover Heights mansion on July 25, 2024. The two men, aged 20 and 24 at the time of the alleged attempt, are accused of targeting the businessman.
Reports indicate that these individuals allegedly pointed a loaded firearm at a neighbor, mistaking him for Mr. Ibrahim. This occurred when the neighbor drove a vehicle similar to one owned by Mr. Ibrahim out of the exclusive waterfront street. The pair were apprehended near the vicinity following a confrontation with law enforcement and subsequently charged with conspiracy to murder.
