Russia Issues Stern Warning Over Canadian Drone Support for Ukraine

Moscow has sharply denounced a recent drone production agreement between Canada and Ukraine, labeling Canada a “warmonger” and threatening retaliatory measures. Russia’s foreign ministry spokesperson, Maria Zakharova, stated during a press briefing in Moscow that the arrangement, which will supply Canadian-manufactured drones to Ukraine’s conflict zone, represents a “significant” deepening of Canada’s engagement in the ongoing war.

Escalation and Retaliation Threats

Zakharova asserted that the agreement reveals Canada’s true nature, describing it as a nation actively seeking to intensify the conflict rather than promote peace. “All pretense has been cast aside,” Zakharova commented, according to a translated transcript. “The full base nature of a state far from being peace-loving has been revealed, but rather a warmonger, seeking by any means necessary to further fuel this bloody conflict. We reserve the right to provide an appropriate response.”

Russia indicated that the Canada-Ukraine drone deal will be factored into its military and political strategic planning. Furthermore, Moscow intends to publicize the locations of all Canadian manufacturing sites involved in the drone agreement.

Officials in Canada have been approached for comment regarding Russia’s statements.
