The emergency call came at 11:49 p.m. on July 26, 2025, during a mutual friend’s birthday gathering at the luxury ski resort, a popular winter destination for Melbourne’s elite. Melissa Jreissati, marketing director at Levantine Hill winery, became clammy and experienced heart issues, prompting the urgent response.
Police charge Brighton socialite Amy Tossoun, 33, co-founder of Richmond Dentist, with possession of amphetamines and introducing a drug of dependence into another person’s body. Conviction on these charges carries a maximum five-year prison sentence.
Victim and Accused Backgrounds
Ms. Jreissati is the daughter of Dr. Elias Jreissati, chairman of the Jreissati Group property developers. The family recently relisted a sub-penthouse in Melbourne’s Eureka Tower for nearly $13 million.
Tossoun, a mother of three who socializes in VIP circles, has appeared at society events and Mt Buller gatherings. She was photographed at the resort prior to the allegations. A spokesperson for Tossoun stated she is taking the matter extremely seriously and has engaged lawyers. “Now that the matter is before the court, she will not be making any further comment,” the spokesperson added.
